DBS BANK LTD.
Business Function
As a leader in treasury operations, DBS provides a comprehensive range of capabilities in foreign exchange, derivatives, money market, and securities trading to corporations and financial institutions. Global Financial Markets (GFM) delivers holistic solutions tailored to DBS clients' hedging and investment requirements, with a strong regional focus. GFM is recognized for its innovative wealth management solutions for individual investors, leadership in SGD and regional products, excellent customer-driven research, and advanced risk management technology and systems.
Responsibilities
The Credit Derivatives desk is seeking a Junior Structurer to contribute to the exploration, establishment, and expansion of its Securitized Assets business. This role will primarily concentrate on Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Collateralized Mortgage Obligations (CMO), Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO). The scope of work encompasses the structuring, pricing, and execution of derivative products linked to these underlying assets.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting sales teams by providing pricing, engaging in customer calls, and delivering presentations to meet the investment and hedging needs of the bank's clients. Given the team's flat organizational structure and cross-functional responsibilities, the candidate will also be involved in managing daily business processes. The ideal candidate will be independent and analytical, possessing strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments across the bank in launching new product classes. Prior knowledge or trading experience in securitized assets such as MBS and ABS is advantageous. Additionally, some familiarity with programming and coding will be a plus. While helpful, experience with legal documentation such as ISDA, GMRA, or GMSLA is not essential.
