About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Palm Oil Trader to manage international trading activities, grow client portfolios, and drive profitable deals in the global palm oil market. The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, well-connected in the industry, and able to execute trades with speed, accuracy, and strong risk discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end palm oil trading operations, including sourcing, negotiation, execution, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, brokers, shipping companies, and other industry partners.
• Monitor global palm oil markets to identify trading opportunities, manage price risks, and ensure profitable performance.
• Negotiate and execute sales & purchase contracts, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
• Coordinate closely with internal teams (operations, logistics, finance, risk) to ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Expand trading networks and explore new markets across Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Economics, Agribusiness, or related fields.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in palm oil trading (CPO, RBD Palm Olein, PKO, derivatives, or related commodities).
• Proven record in managing international trade flows and generating consistent profits.
• Existing client/supplier network is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of global palm oil supply chains, market trends, freight, and pricing mechanisms.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and risk management skills.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to make fast, informed decisions.
• Proficiency in trade documentation, incoterms, and contract management.

Language

• Fluent English & Mandarin (spoken & written).
• Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia is a plus.
