Commercial Analyst (Legal)

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed analysis of construction contracts, tenders, and commercial agreements
• Identify, assess, and quantify financial, operational, and legal risks embedded within contract clauses.
• Perform specific analysis on intellectual property (IP) clauses of clients and the company, and advise on the implications
• Support the tender and project teams by providing risk assessments and recommending mitigation strategies to protect profitability.
• Ensure all commercial terms comply with local regulations and standard practices across the APAC and Greater China regions.
• Act as a liaison between the legal department and commercial operations teams, translating legal terms into business implications.
• Assist in the development of standardized processes for contract and IP review.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• A Bachelor's degree or diploma in legal studies or a related field
• Strong understanding of fundamental legal principles and contract law.
• Knowledge of intellectual property law concepts and their commercial application is essential.
• Familiarity with the business and regulatory environment in the APAC region, particularly Greater China.
• Any academic or intern experience related to construction, engineering, or projects is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is an advantage to review documents and communicate with regional stakeholders.
