About the role

As part of Geodis Integrated Solutions, the GEODIS Ocean Freight team offers efficient and timely ocean freight import and export transportation services, selecting the most suitable carriers for on time services. This role will oversee and manage pricing, procurement and data analytics for the Ocean Freight Product. This will be achieved through close monitoring and active engagement in commercial and operational matters with a view to find workable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• To strategise, implement and oversee the pricing function of Ocean Freight activities
• To strategise, implement and oversee the volume growth of the Ocean Freight business through pricing and procurement activities door to door
• To strategise, implement and oversee Global, Regional and Local RFQ activities
• To strategise, implement and oversee operational excellence strategies to improve Reliability and performance visibility for the country and the respective management team.
• To strategise, implement and oversee the culture of continuous improvement by training, coaching and mentoring to develop the skills and competencies of new change agents (Lean Six Sigma Green Belts, Black Belts and Lean Champions) and regularly conduct performance dialogues with the departments and management teams.
• To strategise, implement and oversee the communication on regularly and effectively will all stakeholders, within the team, within the organization, and beyond
• To strategise, implement and oversee the communication on annual global Ocean Freight plan and budget. Develop regional plan and manage implementation within region and monitor realisation.
• To strategise, implement and oversee the communication on strategy and business results on a regular basis. Engage dialogue to keep the communication flowing.
• To strategise, implement and oversee the communication on development KPI's. Establish key data for KPI's of service and productivity. Monitor and optimize operational work flow.
• Contribute to establishment of a sustainable supplier selection and review process in co-op with Procurement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management or related disciplines (with Operations Excellence preferred)
• At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Managers specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent
• Proven track record in procurement for Asia and major trade lanes
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Independent, self-motivated with positive attitude, attention to detail
• Self-driven, innovative and team player
