We are looking for an experienced and passionate Esports Event Manager to plan, execute, and manage high-impact esports events, tournaments, and brand activations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of the esports ecosystem-including trading card games (TCGs) such as Magic: The Gathering , Pokémon TCG , or One Piece -and proficiency in event logistics, floor plan design, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Event Management

• Lead the planning, execution, and post-event review of both online and in-person esports events, tournaments (including TCGs), and activations.
• Tailor event experiences to different player communities, including TCG enthusiasts.

Tournament Operations (Including TCGs)

• Oversee rule enforcement, competitive integrity, match flow, and bracket management for various game types-including trading card games.
• Collaborate with judges, TOs (Tournament Organizers), and players to ensure a smooth tournament experience across digital and physical formats.

Floor Plan & Layout Design

• Create detailed floor plans and venue layouts using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar, optimized for high footfall, TCG table arrangements, mainstage areas, and broadcast zones.

Team & Vendor Coordination

• Manage internal staff, freelancers, vendors, and production teams to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after the event.
• Coordinate with TCG vendors, card retailers, artists, and community figures for engagement zones or booths.

Venue & Logistics Management

• Conduct site inspections and plan infrastructure for diverse event needs such as TCG tables, streaming setups, and player lounges.
• Manage schedules for load-in/load-out, AV setup, safety measures, and event-day operations.

Stakeholder Communication

• Liaise with sponsors, TCG brands/distributors, partners, talent, and internal teams to align goals and ensure brand and community alignment.

Budget Management & Risk Planning

• Track and manage budgets, vendor payments, and event resources.
• Identify risks and prepare contingency plans, especially for high-value card tournaments or on-site trading/sales activities.

Post-Event Reporting

• Produce event recaps, KPI analysis, stakeholder feedback summaries, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience managing live or digital events; esports or gaming industry experience preferred.

Skill Sets

• Direct involvement with TCG tournament operations or community engagement is highly valued.
• Proficient in floor planning and event design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Visio, etc.).
• Strong understanding of esports formats and production workflows.
• Experience coordinating tournament operations across multiple platforms.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Experience hosting or streaming live esports/TCG events.
• Familiarity with major esports titles ( Mobile Legends Bang Bang , Street Fighter 6 , Valorant , CS2 ).
• Advanced CAD/SketchUp skills or certification.
• Strong relationships with TCG distributors, vendors, or influencers.
• Able to work on evenings/weekends as needed.
