Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for sales promoting, developing strategies, planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of corporate events, conferences, and meetings for local clients starting from Singapore then expanding to other countries.

A sales team will be created under the supervision of the individual in the purpose of expanding Local M&E business in the Asia-Pacific region.
Since this is a brand-new position, integrity, vision, and passion are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve project revenue targets for meeting and event services in Asia-Pacific region
• Identify and pursue new M&E business opportunities in Singapore and other Asia-Pacific countries
• Build and manage a sales team specializing in Local Meeting and Events

Other Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target companies and meeting and events industries
• Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, finance) to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction
• Attend industry trade shows and networking events to promote our services and generate leads
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and client interactions
• Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management
• Conceptualize, plan, and manage various types of events, including conferences, seminars, product launches, and corporate meetings
• Develop marketing and promotional materials for events in collaboration with your team
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and obtain necessary permits for events
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in meeting and events business across APAC countries
• Other ad-hoc duties when assigned by management

Job Requirement

• Business level of Mandarin, Malay or Tamil are preferred to communicate with these language speaking clients
• 10+ years of experience in hospitality or event sales, preferably in APAC region
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong knowledge of the Meeting and Events industry in APAC
• Willingness to travel extensively across APAC countries
• Cultural sensitivity and understanding of business practices in various APAC countries
• Japanese speaking ability is a great advantage to communicate with Japanese HQ and Japanese speaking colleagues

• Education: Bachelor's Degree from a four year College or University in Business, Marketing, or an Acceptable Combination of Education and Experience.
