Position: Event Assistant (with Marketing Role) - Full-Time
Requirements for this role:
Role Overview: Elim Community Services (ECS) is looking for a dynamic and people-oriented Event Assistant to help run our day-to-day community programmes and support our marketing and outreach initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys event coordination, engaging with seniors and families, and using creative skills to bring people together.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Support (Day-to-Day):
• Facilitate and support regular ECS community activities such as Board Game sessions, exercise & wellness programmes
• Create a warm, welcoming environment for seniors and residents.
• Manage event logistics including setup, materials preparation, attendance tracking, and refreshments.
• Collect feedback and provide suggestions for programme improvements.
Event Coordination:
• Support the planning and execution of ECS's key events such as Festive celebrations
• Liaise with vendors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Ensure smooth operations before, during, and after events.
Administrative Duties:
• Maintain records of attendance, media consent, and programme data.
• Prepare post-event/programme reports with photos and summaries.
• Assist in coordinating volunteer schedules and logistics.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Social Work, Marketing or related field.
• Min 2 years of relevant experience in event/programme coordination or community engagement.
• Friendly, organised, and confident in interacting with seniors and multi-generational groups.
• Able to speak English, Chinese and preferably dialect.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft office
