Senior Executive, Events Management
The Events Office (EO) oversees, strategizes, plans and executes Universal level events to ensure that the event experience matches NTU's branding as a leading university. EO acts as a depository of events processes and protocols, to lead and guide in events management.

By engaging with stakeholders, EO leads the development of the NTU Events Strategy. With a coherent events strategy and execution, focusing on relevance, engagement, and participation, EO works to create a vibrant campus culture, engage students and staff, and build a strong sense of community.

The Senior Executive works with the domain owners to manage and coordinate all aspects of an event from conception to execution. This may include developing concepts and ideas for the event, overseeing operations, directing staff, managing budget, and coordinating technical and production aspects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the project team in planning, organizing and execution of university-level events in virtual, hybrid or physical formats with domain owners.
  • Work with designers on creation of key visuals and launch of suitable publicity materials for events
  • Provide financial oversight for events budget including preparation of monthly reports.
  • Conceptualise, plan and manage events from start to completion, including advising on protocols and administration.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree preferably related to events/hospitality management.
  • Technical knowledge in exhibition systems, electrics, carpentry and/or digital printing materials will be an advantage
  • Experience in producing / directing virtual and/or hybrid events
  • Knowledge in graphics/image editors an advantage
  • Knowledge in video production, HTML5, CSS, Sitefinity preferred
  • Protocols in handling high level events
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in events management, preferably in an academic sector
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in curating and managing high level dining events
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills, including the ability to engage and build rapport with individuals at all levels across the organisation
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking abilities, along with effective planning and organisational capabilities to handle unexpected situations that may arise during event planning and execution
  • Proficient knowledge of relevant IT tools
  • Ability to prioritise and plan work activities in an organised manner, adept at multi-tasking and working under pressure and capable of tracking and delivering assignments on schedule
  • Meticulous attention to detail with high-level of accuracy, demonstrating a strong work ethic and discretion
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Positive attitude, able to work independently as well as collaborate effectively as a responsible and cooperative team-player
  • Demonstrates creativity and resilience in problem-solving
