Events Manager
The Events Office (EO) oversees, strategizes, plans and executes Universal level events to ensure that the event experience matches NTU's branding as a leading university. EO acts as a depository of events processes and protocols, to lead and guide in events management.

By engaging with stakeholders, EO leads the development of the NTU Events Strategy. With a coherent events strategy and execution, focusing on relevance, engagement, and participation, EO works to create a vibrant campus culture, engage students and staff, and build a strong sense of community.

Taking on a project leadership role, the Events Manager works on University Level events with domain owners to manage and coordinate all aspects from strategy to execution.

Key responsibilities of the role include leading the team in planning, organizing and execution of University's events in virtual, hybrid or physical formats with domain owners:
  • Provide financial oversight for events budgets and preparation of monthly reports
  • Conceptualise, plan and manage events from start to the end.
  • Work with stakeholders and domain owners to define and set KPIs and metrics for University-wide events
  • Serve as Admin Manager of the revamped Sitefinity events webpages for both internet and intranet
  • Analyse the unified calendar and PR requests to maximise aggregation of demand
  • Provides guidance/advisory as NTU's in-house events agency.


Requirements:
  • Degree from a recognized university
  • Knowledge in producing / directing virtual and/or hybrid events
  • Knowledge in video production, HTML5, CSS, Sitefinity preferred
  • Protocols in handling high level events
  • About 6 years of relevant working experience in events management, preferably in an academic sector
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in curating and managing high level dining events
  • Good interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, planning and organizational abilities, sound knowledge of IT tools and good networking skills
  • Ability to prioritise and plan work activities in an organised manner, able to multi-task and work under pressure, track and deliver assignments on schedule
  • Attention to detail with high-level of accuracy and ability to demonstrate sound work ethics and discretion
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and flexibility to adjust and react to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and being a responsible and good team player who is creative, resourceful, and resilient
  • Enjoys working in a not-for-profit environment and collaborating with the community to enable NTU's wider mission and objectives.
