EngineeringWe are looking for a dynamic junior lawyer with 2-3 years of experience to join our Technology Law team, based in Singapore. This exciting role involves collaborating closely with Daryl Cox, who brings a wealth of cross-border and multi-regional expertise, particularly in the realms of Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
In this position, your responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, assisting with negotiations, and engaging clients directly. You will also play a role in business development initiatives focused on digital infrastructure, technology, data and telecommunications. Our distinguished clients include global technology giants, global financial institutions and prominent stakeholders across the APAC region, who rely on our services to navigate complex technology transactions and regulations. You will support Daryl on diverse technology-focused projects, fostering resilient client relationships and contributing to significant projects.

Applicant Criteria for the Position:

The successful candidate will possess:
- A recognised legal qualification in a common law jurisdiction, paired with a minimum of 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm that informs up to three years tenure in practice.
- Proven familiarity with, and experience advising on, Australian telecommunications, privacy, security, critical infrastructure, data sharing and technology laws.
- Documented experience advising large-scale, global tech clients across the APAC region on mission critical transactions, projects and regulatory issues.
- Robust understanding of corporate and commercial transactions and projects, particularly in relation to digital infrastructure, telecommunications, data, privacy and technology.
- Particular experience advising on data centre deals - M&A, greenfield projects, JVs and colocation arrangements.
- Understanding of how telecommunications networks operate, and how the internet works.
- Superior drafting, analytical, communication, and research capabilities that contribute to precision in legal deliverables.
- Highly commercial and practical, and able to focus on issues than really matter to our clients.
- A client-service driven mindset with the ability to cultivate and sustain strong client relationships.
- Collaborative spirit and adeptness to forge enabling internal professional relationships within a global setting.
- Innovative enthusiasm for business development activities including strategising client presentations and relations management.
- An agile approach, adaptable to diverse legal challenges and task executions.
- Effective project management skills facilitating the delivery of multiple and concurrent transactions and assignments.
- Experience coordinating and managing local counsel across the APAC region on transactions and projects.
- Experience using AI tools in the delivery of legal services.
