Job Summary:

Role: Resident Engineer

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Singapore

Job Requirements:

- 4 -12 years in enterprise-class environments and datacenters

- Able to document and operationalize Nutanix environment

- Typically holds advanced certifications from industry solutions (relevant to organizational needs)

- Proficient with day-to-day operations of Nutanix solutions, and knowledgeable in external networking solutions from major switching vendors

- Possesses relevant domain expertise in areas relevant to organizational needs

- Ability to work in a team setting or alone with limited customer direction

Tech skills:

- Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) lifecycle (Nutanix certified)

- Virtualized infrastructure management (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft)

- Virtualized Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) administration

- Data center migration planning and execution

- Enterprise and hybrid cloud orchestration and automation

Other Skills Requirement:

- Mid-level (due to budget limitations)

- CAT1 clearance required

- Preferably can start immediate so we might check grant eligibility

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Manage daily operations of Nutanix solutions and external networking from major vendors.

- Apply domain expertise relevant to organizational needs.

- Solve complex problems and perform root cause analysis.

- Train employees or groups (up to 12 people) and conduct information transfers.

- Deliver presentations and public speaking sessions.

- Apply Nutanix best practices to present solutions based on customer needs.

- Follow methodologies to create solutions that achieve specific business outcomes.

- Build relationships with customer technical teams and management.

- Document and operationalize Nutanix environments.

- Develop standards for deploying and maintaining Virtual Machines (VMs).

- Establish Nutanix patching patterns and ensure system compliance.

- Prepare weekly progress reports and keep management updated on operational changes.

- Stay current with the Nutanix product line and recommend solutions as customer needs evolve.
