We are seeking to hire a Research Engineer to work on additive manufacturing for healthcare applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- To collaborate with researchers both locally and overseas to investigate properties of the additively manufactured materials
- To assist in 3D printing of metals and characterize their properties and microstructures
- To investigate the effect of processing parameters on the microstructures, biochemical compatibility and mechanical properties of the additively manufactured parts
- To write up reports and give presentations on findings
Job Requirements:
- B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering or related field
- Knowledge in Mechanics of Materials, Metallurgy, Microstructural Characterization and/ or Additive Manufacturing in advantageous
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) for research work
- Familiarity with Metal microstructure characterization is an advantage
- Familiarity with Failure of Metals is an advantage
- Knowledge in Manufacturing Technologies is an advantage
- Publication track record is an advantage
- Self-motivated, independent and can work well in a team
