About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Patching Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end patching process for Windows-based systems, ensuring system security and performance. You will also support application packaging and deployment and generate reports to support IT operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Patch Management:

• Deploy and manage Windows system patches using SCCM, Intune, and Workspace ONE
• Monitor patch compliance and assess impact on system performance
• Plan and coordinate patch deployment schedules with minimal disruption to users
• Troubleshoot and resolve patch-related issues across systems
• Maintain accurate documentation of patching activities and system configurations
• Stay informed on the latest security threats and patching best practices

Application Packaging & Deployment:

• Package and deploy commercial and in-house applications using SCCM, Intune or Workspace ONE
• Test and validate application packages to ensure compatibility and stability
• Coordinate deployments with internal stakeholders for smooth rollout
• Troubleshoot issues during application deployment and packaging
• Maintain an up-to-date application inventory and deployment schedule

Reporting & Documentation:

• Gather data from multiple sources to produce accurate patch compliance and deployment reports
• Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data and generate reports, including pivot tables and charts
• Maintain reporting templates and dashboards to support IT decision-making
• Present insights to stakeholders on system patching status and trends

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SCCM, Intune and Workspace ONE
• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and patching best practices
• Experience in application packaging and software deployment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, data analysis)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+
• Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
• Experience with other patching or endpoint management tools
