Position Summary

As a PV System Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical design and layout of solar PV systems. You will play a crucial role in transforming client requirements into efficient and compliant solar energy systems, ensuring optimal energy output and long-term performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design grid-tied and hybrid solar PV systems for commercial and residential applications
• Generate single-line diagrams (SLDs), layout drawings, and system schematics
• Perform solar energy yield simulations using tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar
• Conduct site surveys and prepare feasibility reports
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, SP/EMA requirements, and safety standards
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and installers for design alignment
• Support technical documentation, submission packs, and client presentations

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Renewable Energy Engineering or Equivalent
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in solar PV system design
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar design tools
• Knowledge of Singapore's regulatory framework for solar PV systems (SP/EMA guidelines)
• Familiarity with inverter sizing, string configuration, and shading analysis
• Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills
