We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Engineer to join our client Cloud Operations & Managed Services team, with a focus on Security Operations and Maintenance. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in cybersecurity, who are passionate about maintaining secure and resilient IT environments. You will play a critical part in supporting day-to-day security operations, assisting with incident response, vulnerability management, and system hardening initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain cybersecurity systems, including firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and other security tools
• Assist in incident response: troubleshoot and document first-level security incidents
• Coordinate with technology vendors for issue escalation when necessary
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support patch management activities
• Support security audits and prepare logs/reports to meet compliance and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with IT, networking, and cloud operations teams to ensure proper implementation of security controls
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of procedures, incidents, and system status
• Participate in and support Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives

Skill Set Requirements:

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer-oriented and team player with a service-first attitude
• Experience in one or more cybersecurity domains (e.g., endpoint protection, network security, IAM)
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Preferably 2-3 years of experience in cybersecurity maintenance or IT security operations
