Our client are looking for next team members to join their growing team:

Responsibilities:

- Efficiently execute job assignments by selecting, utilizing, and maintaining various service tools according to industry standards.

- Install electrical components, including switches, sensors, transducers, transmitters, current transformers, and control panels.

- Install engine wiring per provided schematics (Mechanical technicians may find this optional but beneficial for experience).

- Disassemble and reassemble engine components such as oil pumps, water pumps, and cylinder heads (Experience with engine overhauls is a plus).

- Install fuel injectors and perform engine timing and valve lash adjustments.

- Support mechanical operations, including the installation of radiator assemblies, couplings, engines, alternators, gearboxes, piping, and hoses.

- Assist with alignment tasks for the proper installation of engine and alternator assemblies.

- Prepare generators for load testing and record required operational parameters.

- Test safety devices and perform load tests, ensuring accurate documentation of results (Optional for mechanical technicians, but advantageous for experience).

- Connect diagnostic tools to engines to retrieve diagnostic codes and file related data (Beneficial, but not mandatory).

- Troubleshoot engine and alternator systems, applying technical expertise to resolve issues.

- Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic steering systems, marine gearboxes, AC power alternators, control panels, and system alignments.

- Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of engines and alternators.

- IT proficiency will be advantageous.

- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems is a plus.

Requirements:

- Possess an ITE or equivalent qualification.

- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty diesel or automobile mechanics (Marine or offshore experience is highly preferred).

- Apprenticeship training with a reputable engine-related organization is highly regarded.
