Job Requirements:
- Responsible and accountable for safe and efficient operation of new generation very large LPG and/or LNG carriers.
- Compliance with company policies, procedures and international shipping regulatory requirements.
- Management of vessels Certification, documentation and surveys.
- Preparing and managing vessels operational, capex and docking budgets.
- Inspection of vessels including sailing on board for visits.
- Preparation for docking of very large LPG and/or LNG carriers, managing the entire docking process, including cost control and budget.
- Able to troubleshoot and support ship staff with onboard technical issues remotely.
- Communicating with the shipowners, meeting demand of owner specific reporting as well as that of 3rd parties.
- Vetting store and spare requisitions raised by vessel to ensure optimum maintenance, vessel availability whilst ensuring budget maintenance.
- Arrange vetting or charterer/owner inspections and retain responsibility for ensuring vessels' acceptance.
- Accountable for maintaining operational KPIs set by the senior management. To ascertain reason for not meeting environment KPI for management review.
- Analyze SIRE observations and ensure correct response is uploaded in SIRE.
- Ensure that all TMSA requirements and other company-specific special requirements & instructions for the safe operation of tankers are implemented on board and followed diligently by the office staff as well as by the vessels under management. Work closely with MO to carry out this function.
- Structural review response to external parties.
- Any other task assigned by the Company.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as Chief Engineer on ocean-going Very Large Liquefied Petroleum, including dual fuel LPGCs, and/or Natural Gas Carriers (steam turbine/motor/X-DF engine) with reliquefication plant or equivalent qualification and experience from maritime industry.
- Experience with Ammonia carriage as a cargo and/or fuel.
- Familiarity and Experience with SIRE 2.0 inspections.
- Very good understanding of ISM Code, ISPS Code, MLC, TMSA, OCIMF requirements and International Maritime Rules and regulations and Conventions.
- Familiarity with EU-ETS, IMO DCS, CII requirements.
- Have a good command over spoken and written English.
- Able to respond to communication from owners/ship/3rd parties without delay including after office hours when required.
- Have a very good understanding of the demands of seafarers and their working environment.
- Capable of supervising staff at sea.
- Candidate should have good practical knowledge of vessel operation and maintenance, both short and long term and be able to guide ship staff in troubleshooting and trouble resolution.
- Adequate ability and attitude to work in a multi cultured organization.
- Able to relocate to Singapore as the base of operations.
- Possesses basic computer MS Office application skills.
