Repair Technician Job Description

Job Summary:

A Kitchen Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining kitchen appliances, and electrical systems. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service to ensure kitchen functionality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect and diagnose issues with kitchen appliances (ovens, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.).

- Repair or replace faulty components in kitchen systems (plumbing, electrical).

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with exhaust fans, and ventilation systems.

- Perform routine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns.

- Provide cost estimates for repairs and replacements.

- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.

- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs.

- Order and manage replacement parts and tools as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Experience: Previous work as an appliance repair technician, handyman, or in a related field.

- Technical Skills: Knowledge of kitchen appliances, electrical systems.

- Certifications: Electrical Knowledge, AC DC Motor Principles

- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues and find effective solutions.

- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting appliances and working in tight spaces.

- Customer Service: Professional, courteous, and able to explain technical details clearly.

- Tools: Must have own basic tools (specialized tools may be provided by employer).

- License: Valid driver's license (if travel is required).

Work Environment:

- Travel to residential and commercial locations.

- May work in confined spaces, at heights, or in varying temperatures.

- Flexible hours, including weekends or emergency calls if needed.
