Our client, located in Tuas, is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of electrical design, coordination, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of electrical engineering works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in all electrical engineering design and calculation tasks.
• Prepare bill of materials and address engineering queries from customers and suppliers.
• Contribute to design documentation, construction drawings, and submission processes.
• Coordinate design efforts with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
• Support construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Identify and understand the company's scope of work within the project.
• Address and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
• Track and monitor the progress of document submissions.
• Handle drafting tasks and provide guidance to drafters.

Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong team player with the ability to work well with diverse teams.
• Willing to learn and take on new tasks.
• Solid understanding of basic electrical design principles.
• Proficient in electrical cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, cable gland sizing, and preparing cable schedules.
• Experience in lighting calculations and familiarity with lighting software such as Dialux.
• Able to perform overcurrent protection device sizing and selection.
• Knowledgeable in electrical equipment installation practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for drafting purposes.
• Basic understanding of fire and gas detection systems.
• Familiarity with HVAC electrical and instrumentation basics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
