Production Operations and Automation Engineer (SRE)

We are seeking an experienced Production Operations and Automation Engineer (SRE) to join our Application and Infrastructure support team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, operational monitoring, batch job scheduling, and data centre operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize system performance and availability
• Manage batch workload automation and batch processing operations
• Configure and troubleshoot AutoSys batch job definitions and dependencies
• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions for cloud services
• Optimize and enhance data centre operations and efficiency
• Assist in data centre capacity planning and resource optimization
• Collaborate on data centre infrastructure improvements
• Respond to and resolve operational incidents
• Create and maintain documentation for operational procedures

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure
• Strong background in operations monitoring and alerting systems
• Hands-on experience with batch scheduling and processing
• Knowledge of data centre operations and infrastructure
• Experience in optimizing data centre resources and performance
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Technical Skills

• AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Batch job scheduling and workload automation
• Automation tools
• Data center infrastructure management
• Monitoring and logging tools
• Scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.)

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in cloud operations
• Background in Production Operation practices
• Demonstrated experience with batch job management
• Experience in data centre operations and optimization
• AWS certification preferred
