Environmental Control Officer (ECO)

• Basic: $3,500 - $5,000
• 5.5 days
• Location: Onsite (Mostly EAST side)

✅ Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in a relevant field from a recognized polytechnic/university.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry (preferably in HDB projects)
• Registered as an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with the National Environment Agency (NEA).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Able to work 5.5 days a week.
• Projects are mostly located in the EAST side.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in implementing and monitoring environmental management systems, including vector control and earth control measures at construction sites.
• Identify and report site conditions that may pose environmental health risks, providing recommendations for preventive and corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
• Develop and submit a Site Environmental Control Programme to the Project Manager.
• Conduct inspections to ensure all environmental health-related facilities and equipment are in proper working condition.
• Identify and address environmental health concerns such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestations, noise, dust, smoke, water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, and waste management issues.
• Respond to environmental health feedback and escalate issues to the Project Manager as required.
• Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Report on a fortnightly basis.
• Assist authorities in investigations related to infectious, vector-borne, or food-borne disease outbreaks on site.
• Organize campaigns, training sessions, and awareness programs to promote environmental health standards among workers.
• Carry out any additional duties as assigned by the management.
