Key Responsibilities:

• \tDesign, develop, and automate test plans and test cases to ensuring comprehensive characterization and validation of functionality, performance, quality and compliance with industry standards for optical communication products and systems. Work closely with design, hardware, and software engineering teams to ensure that tests align with product development goals and timelines.

• \tDevelop innovative and cost effective test solutions and systems for scalability and efficiency using specialized optical and electrical test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers, and BER testers etc.), as well as test automation scripts and tools.

• \tConduct thorough product characterization test during development stage for optical transceiver and optical switch systems, including signal quality, error rate, jitter, latency, and interoperability with various network protocols and devices.

• \tDefine test plans and specifications, investigate test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, and software) to resolve issues and optimize product design, performance and quality.

• \tWork closely with NPI and manufacturing engineering teams to continuously enhance product test yield, develop cost effective solutions to improve test system throughout/efficiency.

• \tMaintain thorough and accurate records of test results, methodologies, and process documentation. Prepare test reports and present findings to cross-functional product development teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• \tBachelor/Master degree or above in electrical, electronic, optical engineering, communication or related fields.

• \tMinimum 3 years of working experience in optical module/networking switch or relevant high-speed communication products test and development. Candidates with more experiences will be considered for higher position.

• \tSolid understand of optical communication network and systems, protocols and standards, sound knowledge of optical transceiver standards, network switch architectures and applications. Proficiency in using optical test equipment (e.g., optical spectrum analyzers, BER testers, oscilloscopes) and the ability to develop test automation frameworks.

• \tExcellent trouble-shooting, data analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to systematically address root causes and timely provide solutions for complex problems in optical systems.

• \tA solid team player with strong leadership and inter-personal skills, able to take proactive, collaborative and creative approaches to innovate and influence for optimal results.

• \tStrong written and verbal communication skills.

• \tWilling to travel as require.
