You'll be part of the printed circuit board (PCB) engineering team designing boards for many different groups at Marvell. Additionally, Marvell is designing more complex chips and boards than our competitors, for higher speeds than anyone else.

You'll begin with schematic capture and then run simulations looking at signal and power integrity to make sure a design is adequate. You will work with other team members to see how your portion integrates with theirs. You'll work with architecture and validation teams to understand the flow and testing needs. You'll be looking to see what parts are available and programming any programmable devices you use for your design. You'll be using Mentor or Siemens for PCB routing, Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis (SPICE) for simulations and an oscilloscope or some kind of protocol analyzer for testing. The silicon products tested include ARM processors and high-speed with various protocols including Ethernet, PCIe, USB, SATA, SD, Flash, etc.

Requirements:

  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar with a focus on schematic design, board or package routing, signal and power integrity analysis, and programmable device design.
  • Experience in schematic capture and design of a circuit, board design is a plus.
  • Have lab experience, debugging problems you missed in design review. Have experience deciding if something is wrong with the circuit, the chip, or the board.
