• CFD Analysis & Simulation Development

- Conduct advanced OpenFOAM simulations for airflow, wind loads, thermal analysis, and environmental optimization.

- Work with engineers and designers to apply CFD insights to tensile membrane and steel structures.

- Explore new CFD approaches that enhance analysis precision and efficiency.

• Grasshopper Plugin Development

- Develop a custom Grasshopper plugin to automate OpenFOAM simulation setup (similar to Butterfly but tailored to company needs).

- Ensure the tool integrates parametric adjustments, material considerations, and real-world constraints.

- Continuously refine and expand the plugin's capabilities based on project needs.

• Onboarding & Learning Phase

- Spend the initial period understanding the company's workflows, design philosophy, and membrane-specific requirements.

- Work closely with senior engineer (Han) to align CFD methods with structural design principles.

- Study existing projects to grasp how tensile structures behave under environmental conditions.

• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

- Assist in integrating CFD results into the broader computational design pipeline.

- Document processes and provide guidelines for internal use of the Grasshopper plugin.

- Engage in cross-disciplinary discussions to ensure CFD analysis supports structural and architectural decision-making.
