EngineeringThe Office of Academic Services (OAS) plays a key role in advancing the University's educational goals and supporting the provision and governance of academic learning in NTU. We provide the end-to-end academic services from the time of their matriculation to their graduation, creating positive impacts on the academic journey of all 33,000 undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework and research) students during their study in NTU.
This position will drive the digital transformation and data governance of academic services through integrated student academic systems, emerging technologies like Generative AI, as well as data analytics and visualisation. The incumbent will spearhead the system development projects, from design to launch, collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, and initiate continuous improvement efforts to maintain and enhance the effectiveness of the academic services systems.
This role will act as a key enabler and catalyst to enhance student experience, improve operational efficiency, ensure strong governance, and facilitate stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage the system design, development and implementation of the academic Services Student Management System and AI blueprint projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with institutional goals. This includes overseeing planning, requirements gathering, supporting data migration activities, system development, testing, and launch.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the gathering of business requirements, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment throughout project lifecycles. Work closely with system vendors, SMS, PMO, and CITS teams to ensure smooth project execution and post-launch support.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, recording functional and technical requirements, decisions, and changes. Collaborate with stakeholders to review and optimize existing systems and processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct research on global best practices and emerging technologies and benchmark academic systems and AI practices against leading institutions to identify opportunities for improvement and drive innovation in academic services and student experience.
- Facilitate user training and post-implementation support to ensure smooth system adoption and effective troubleshooting post-launch in collaboration with SMS, PMO and CITS teams.
- Steward the data quality, governance and data handling practices within OAS and support the review of data-related initiatives and requests from various stakeholders to ensure compliance, integrity, and security in the handling and use of students' data and records.
- Drive the development of data analytics and visualisation capabilities for Academic Services with effective data dashboards for stakeholders to retrieve student information, monitor operations and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Education, or related field.
- At least 8 years of total working experience with minimum 5 years' experience in a managerial role.
- Experience in academic services, project management, systems implementation, data analytics and visualisation, AI and/or RPA, will be advantageous.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale system or digital transformation projects in an academic or similar environment.
- Strong team player with stakeholder-centric mindset and high integrity.
- Strong logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and exceptional organisational skills to ensure smooth project execution and system implementation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively, negotiate, and influence decisions.
