Position Overview

Our engineering department is looking to recruit an AI Engineer with both AI engineering capabilities and frontend expertise to bridge the gap between our advanced AI technology and client user experience. To be precise, we are not looking for a frontend developer to create traditional interfaces. Our AI solutions require a drastic shift from traditional templated interactions to dynamically generated interfaces for enterprise users.

In this role, you will be engaging clients together with our AI Domain Enablement team and apply your technical knowhow to implement LLM-optimized and SLM-augmented user interfaces as part of our Product and Solutions Delivery team.

You will also need to possess the requisite engineering skillsets to participate as a member of our R&D team, to contribute to the development of AI models that support user experiential features.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Design & Implementation (AI-focused)

• Design and develop user-centric interfaces for AI-powered applications
• Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, accessible user experiences
• Train SLMs that can dynamically generate interfaces based on predicted enterprise user interactions.
• Implement responsive frontend architectures that effectively communicate with AI backends
• Create efficient and maintainable frontend code following best practices and design patterns
• Build frontend components and efficient data visualizations for AI outputs and facilitate user interaction with models
• Institutionalize frontend testing processes for our AI applications
• Optimize frontend performance for AI-powered applications
• Balance model inference requirements with frontend responsiveness

User Research & Experience Design

• Gather and analyze user requirements and feedback for AI-powered products
• Conduct user testing to evaluate interface effectiveness and model interaction patterns
• Design user journeys that optimize human-AI collaboration
• Create prototypes to test and validate AI feature usability
• Implement analytics frameworks to measure user engagement with AI features
• Analyze and improve user perception of AI system performance

Technical Team Leadership

• Lead frontend development teams in implementing AI-powered interfaces
• Provide technical guidance on AI frontend implementation best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements
• Provide code reviews prior to deployments
• Participate in architecture discussions focused on user-centered AI design

AI Model Development from User Perspective

• Work with R&D team to identify how user interactions can improve model training
• Design and implement user feedback mechanisms to gather training data
• Analyze user behavior patterns to identify areas for model improvement
• Translate user needs into training objectives for AI models
• Train proprietary SLM models to automate and augment the user workflows via dynamic interfaces

Human-AI Interaction Research

• Design experiments to measure effectiveness of human-AI interaction patterns
• Implement A/B testing frameworks for different AI interface approaches
• Create evaluation metrics for user satisfaction with AI systems
• Research innovative interaction paradigms for complex AI capabilities
• Develop best practices for explaining AI decisions to users

User-Centered Model Development

• Collaborate with other AI engineers and scientists to ensure models meet user needs
• Translate technical model capabilities into user-facing features
• Identify opportunities to improve user experience through model refinement

Product Development & Innovation

• Collaborate with AI Business Coaches to define AI feature requirements
• Contribute to product roadmaps with user-centered AI capabilities
• Prototype innovative AI interfaces to demonstrate new possibilities
• Evaluate emerging frontend technologies for potential adoption
• Share knowledge through documentation and technical presentations

Responsible AI Implementation

• Ensure frontend implementations present AI capabilities responsibly and transparently
• Design interfaces that appropriately communicate model limitations
• Contribute to user-centered responsible AI development practices

Team Communications

• We have large satellite development teams in India and Vietnam.
• Our partners and clients are concentrated in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Thailand.
• As such, we require candidates to have a strong command of English. Working-level language proficiencies in Chinese or Vietnamese is a plus.
