Position: Assistant Electrical Engineer (Tester)

• Salary: $3,000 to $3,500 + AWS + VB
• Working Days: 5days (based on project) ; OT Paid
• Working Location: Joo Koon (Transport is provided from 6 MRT pickup points ie: Paya Lebar, Serangoon NEX, Bishan, Jurong East, Joon Koon, Woodlands)

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

Testing and Commissioning :

• Perform tests on 22kV switchgear, circuit breakers, protection relays, and other high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Ensure switchgear systems are tested according to manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Carry out insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, primary injection testing, secondary injection testing, functional checks.
• VLF test for high voltage cable.
• Perform test on transformers like AC high Potential test, Tangent delta test winding resistance test and ratio test for oil type and Dry type transformers.
• SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) procedures.
• Participate in the commissioning process of newly installed switchgear and electrical systems.
• Train the testing team as well.
• Submit the quotation and prepare for the MOS and RA

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical switchgear and related equipment.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and switchgear.
• Inspect and analyse equipment performance, including assessing wear and tear.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare detailed test reports for all testing and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all activities are accurately documented.
