We are seeking a dedicated Technician. The personnel will be responsible of providing support to R&D, in Engineering and Sales Department.

Technician Responsibilities:

1.Testing Responsibilities

• Product Test Execution: Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing to identify defects or areas for product improvement.

• Maintain test procedure documentations: Develop and maintain automated test procedures to improve testing efficiency using LabVIEW.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure products or systems meet quality standards and comply with specifications or regulations.

• Reporting: Generate detailed test reports and communicate findings to engineers and managers.

• Collaboration: Work closely with product development and sales teams to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.

• Training: Assist Engineer in conducting training on product installation

2. Site Service Responsibilities

• Product Maintenance: Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair products on site. This may involve troubleshooting, replacement and basic repairs.

• Technical Assistance and customer support: Provide technical support to customers on the use and operation of products and tools. Address customers' queries and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• On-Site Service: Travel to client locations to perform installations, repairs, or training as needed.
Service Documentation: Create and maintain service manuals, service report, troubleshooting guides, and other technical documentation. Maintain accurate records of all work carried out on site, including product maintenance logs, inspections, repair, replacement and material usage.

• Training: Train clients or end-users on how to operate and maintain systems or equipment.

3. General Responsibilities

• Prepare, install and ensure test setup comply to required standard before commencement of test.

• Maintain and ensure the housekeeping of laboratory is up to high standards.

• Maintenance on laboratory equipment and instrument and troubleshoot if required.

• Maintain proper records of standard, test report, equipment list, etc.

• Control movement of engineering/R&D inventories, including inventories at warehouse.

• Continuous Improvement: Report product issues at site to management to improve product reliability. Identify and troubleshoot any problems that arise on site and implement solutions.

• Liaison with Contractors: Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and on schedule

• Emergency Response: Respond to any emergencies that may occur on site, such as product failures.

• Quality Control: Ensure that all work is carried out to the required standards and specifications. This may involve conducting quality control checks and tests.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on site.

Essential Skills

- Technical expertise in relevant systems, software, or equipment, e.g: AutoCAD, LabView will be an advantage.
- Familiar with electrical power wiring (230vac single phase AC, or 415V 3-phase AC) and signal wiring (0-10Vdc, 4-20mA)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel for on-site service tasks and physical hands-on job.
- Experience with sheet metal is preferred.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of products or systems while providing excellent customer service and support.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NITEC in Engineering (Electrical), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.

• Relevant experience required.

• Excellent communication skills both in English and Chinese.

• Able to work in a team and multitask effectively within tight timelines.

• Able to take initiative and responsibility with a positive working attitude.

• Applicants able to commence work within short period notice will have an added advantage.

• Good physical fitness and ability to work in physically demanding conditions.

• Work Location: West Area - 5 minutes' walk from Joo Koon MRT

• 5 days' work week. Time: 0830hrs - 1800hrs

• Support Engineering and site service functions.
