Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Lab Engineer / Lab Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of laboratory tasks including sampling, testing, measuring, recording, and analyzing results for both chemical and physical tests. You will also be providing technical support to ensure that the laboratory functions effectively, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory chemical and physical tests to generate reliable and precise data for incoming and outgoing materials, research and development, and failure analysis.
• Prepare samples for chemical or physical analysis according to procedures and specific requirements.
• Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment, including ultrasonic cleaner, furnace, polisher, hot mold press, weighing scale, oven, density scale, chiller, and more.
• Monitor stock levels of laboratory consumables and manage bulk and powder sample dispositions.
• Ensure that equipment calibration and preventive maintenance are carried out and up to date.
• Record data accurately and maintain proper documentation of analysis results. Submit initial results to supervisors for further analysis.
• Maintain sample retention, records, and documentation related to PM and NPM samples.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols, including performing safety checks and following proper laboratory procedures.
• Ensure workplace cleanliness and adherence to 5S standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of NITEC/Diploma in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
• Previous experience in a QC lab within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as ICP, MS, SEM, and IGA is an added advantage.
• Experience in analytical method development and validation is preferred.
• Strong multi-tasking skills to handle daily tasks and testing requirements.
• Ability to problem-solve and handle tasks with multiple variables in standardized situations.

Additional Information:

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply as training will be provided.
• Transport provided at designated pickup points: Khatib MRT, Jurong East MRT, & Lakeside MRT.
• Working Hours: 5 working days per week, from 7.45 AM to 4.45 PM.
