As a CPU Motherboard Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing motherboard layouts and schematics for CPUs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the design meets performance, quality, and reliability standards.

The Team:
The Electrical R&D team is responsible for researching and developing new electrical products and systems for semiconductor packaging equipment, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and industry requirements. They conduct experiments, analyze data, and collaborate with other cross-functional team to bring innovative solutions to market. The team also manages projects, documents their work, and troubleshoots technical issues to support the company's technological advancements.

As a CPU Motherboard Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing motherboard layouts and schematics for CPUs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the design meets performance, quality, and reliability standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Create detailed motherboard layouts and schematics using CAD tools. Develop deeply embedded computer systems that support real-time distributed control, multiprocessing, high-throughput low-latency data transfer, and demanding data analysis/visualization applications.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop FPGA IP, firmware, BSPs, device drivers, and kernel modules for interfacing with A/D and D/A converters, sensors, power electronics, and other hardware sub-systems.
- Develop high-speed communication interface: Hardware designs using PCI Express®, SERDES, USB, and Ethernet fieldbus (EtherCAT®, POWERLINK, etc.)
- Simulation and Testing: Perform signal integrity analysis using HyperLynx® SI/GHz and supervise layout of controlled impedance PCBs.
- Collaboration: Work with hardware engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to integrate the motherboard design with other system components.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including schematics, layout files, specification, and test reports. Coordinate production release of PCB and cable designs via Siemens Teamcenter®
- Troubleshooting: Perform bring-up, troubleshooting, and debugging of new designs and field issue.
- Compliance: Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. CE safety and emissions compliance and testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and proficient in maintaining high levels of accuracy in work.
- Experience with Intel or ARM platform architectures, experience in hardware designs with FPGAs, DSPs, and microcontrollers, and expertise in high-speed digital communication interfaces like CompactPCI Serial, PCI Express, VMEbus, SERDES, or Ethernet.
- Proficient in multi-gigabit signal integrity and timing analysis, controlled impedance PCB and cable design, and C programming for firmware, BSP, device driver, kernel module, and test software development.
- Experience with design verification tools, Altium Designer, Zuken E3.cable, FPGA IP, Verilog HDL, and general lab equipment like digital oscilloscopes and logic/protocol analyzers is a plus.
