About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile/Web Frontend Engineer to join our innovative FinTech startup to spearhead the front-end development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing user interfaces for both mobile and web applications using React Native and React JS. This role requires expertise in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and related frameworks, along with a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain Applications: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance mobile applications using React Native and web applications using React JS.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers and product team to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, and with backend developers to integrate RESTful APIs seamlessly.
• Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and participate in code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth user experiences.
• Stay Updated: Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies in frontend development.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical advice and assist in solving programming problems.
• Enhance SEO and Analytics: Focus on enhancing SEO, analytics, and overall frontend architecture for better performance.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 4-5 years of experience in frontend development with a focus on React Native and React JS.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model).
• Thorough understanding of React Native and React JS, along with their core principles.
• Experience with Typescript and its application in enhancing code quality and maintainability.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.
• Good understanding of various front-end design patterns such as MVC, MVP and MVVM etc.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile libraries for networking.
• Knowledge of modern frontend build pipelines and tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Familiarity with packaging and distribution of web apps to cloud platforms and mobile apps to App Store/Play Store.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and UI/UX design principles.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the FinTech industry or financial services.
• Knowledge of financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Contributions to open-source projects or participation in developer communities.
