We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Research Engineer - Flight Testing Assistant to support the preparation and execution of flight tests for an experimental aircraft. In this role, you will assist in test planning, setup, data collection, logistics, and technical tasks while ensuring safety and compliance. This position offers hands-on experience in aerospace testing and the opportunity to work closely with engineers and industry experts.

Key Responsibilities:

Flight Test Support:
  • Assist in planning and organizing flight test activities.
  • Help ensure all safety procedures are followed during testing.
  • Support fault tree analysis and risk assessment.
  • Assist with component and system testing to verify aircraft safety.


Logistics & Coordination:
  • Track and update project schedules.
  • Monitor aircraft weight and part deliveries.
  • Help coordinate with government agencies and private companies to secure necessary permits and documentation.


Technical & Hands-on Tasks:
  • Assist in building test apparatus and setting up instrumentation.
  • Help with aircraft assembly and technical work.
  • Support battery charging and safety checks.


Data Collection & Documentation:
  • Assist in collecting and organizing test data.
  • Support theoretical analysis and validation of test results.
  • Maintain meeting records, minutes, and documentation.


General Assistance:
  • Provide support to other Project teams and the Program Director as needed.
  • Perform various tasks related to flight test preparation and execution.


Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must at least have a bachelor's degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering.
  • Must have theoretical training and 2+ years of experience specifically in eVTOL aircraft design principles and be extremely familiar with the eVTOL market and technical and non-technical attributes of other eVTOL aircrafts in the world.
  • Willing to travel for months away and working hard and be reachable anytime and respond immediately.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work independently but also facilitate projects with team members with minimal supervision.
  • Has done hands on research, including planning, building, programming, repairing, flight testing.
  • Prefer Singapore citizen as this role requires to work with Singapore government agencies and travel internationally to flight test centers that have nationality restrictions.
