The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and coordinate research activities, including collaboration meetings, internal group meetings, overseas exchanges, and business trips (local and oversea travel arrangements).
• Oversee procurement activities, including raising Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders. Track and manage the equipment ownership internally.
• Handle reimbursement, claims and follow expenditure.
• Oversee personnel management and coordination, such as recruitment, internship programme and new student application processes.
• Assist in budget management for research projects, ensuring proper allocation and usage of funds.
• Maintain the smooth operation of the research group and provide administrative support as needed.
• Update the group website/public account, ensuring it reflects current and accurate information while adhering to organizational standards.
• Experience in compiling, analysing, and preparing project reports with in-depth analytical insights to support decision-making will be an advantage.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Independent, highly analytical, proactive and a team player
• Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various research tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a research team.
• Prior research experience, including involvement in research projects or publications, is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other office software.
