Job Description

Candidate applying for this position should assist in research and development of robotic process applications and automation solutions to solve various industry challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities

-Support in mechanical design work and liaise with vendors/fabricators.

-Support in sourcing automation components and acquire quotations from suppliers.

-Support in robotic process feasibility analysis.

-Support in simulation-based programming of robotic motion.

-Support in various work activities related to proof-of-concept testbed setup and process experimental setup and trials.

-Assist in developing software module, PLC and robot programming.

-Collaborate with other team members in robotic integration.

Job Requirements

-Diploma qualification in relevant Engineering discipline with a focus in robotics, mechatronics, or related fields

-At least 1 year of experience

-Proficient in Computer-Aided-Design and 2D drawings.

-Proficient in basic computer programming.

-Basic knowledge in developing functional applications using open-sourced Robot Operating System (ROS).

-Basic knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and the applications of AI in robotics.

-Basic knowledge of automation technologies and their applications in the manufacturing and process industries.

-Basic knowledge of network fundamentals.

-A team player who is motivated to solve technical challenges and deliver on time to customers

-Must be hands-on and ability to work effectively and independently.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills.

-Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology promptly.
