Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supplier quality monitoring systems to ensure materials and components meet quality standards. Identify and address any non-conformance issues with suppliers.
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize their processes, enhancing yield and ensuring consistent quality of materials and parts.
- Lead efforts to address and resolve abnormal quality issues with suppliers, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct supplier audits to assess quality systems, process capabilities, and compliance with industry standards. Drive improvement initiatives based on audit findings.
- Work with suppliers to develop their quality processes, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
- Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on quality expectations from suppliers.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by working closely with suppliers to enhance their quality management systems and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Proven experience in supplier quality engineering, particularly in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality management systems and standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with supplier audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes.
- Certification in Six Sigma or similar is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work abroad in China or Vietnam at least 10 months per year.
