A Research Fellow position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake full research work and administrative duties during the term of employment
• Be responsible for the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms for image processing and other data analysis tasks
• Develop and implement the algorithms for image processing of feed waste material
• Work synergistically with PI and research staff in data acquisition, data management and data analytics
• Support the publishing of high-quality research papers with research outcomes in top-tier international journals and conferences.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Strong experience in image processing, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms
• Proficiency in programming such as Python
• Familiarity with bio-waste materials and waste treatment process will be an advantage
• Strong organizational skills, good communication skills & able to work in a multi-disciplinary team

This is a contract-based project for 6 months, and may be considered to extend based on the performance and successful project extension.
