The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer I.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in research on improving AI algorithms and pilot system for depression detection using speech and text information.
• To assist in the design, develop, and acquire voice and text corpus for early depression detection
• To collaborate with other project team members to develop baseline systems and improved the system's accuracy from time to time.
• Work with the team to develop multimodal algorithms that can detect early signs of depression from speech and text information.
• Write technical reports and documents.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related disciplines from a top-tier university.
• Strong analytical and programming skills and proficient in programming language, e.g. Python.
• Experience in developing deep learning, and machine learning algorithms for speech and text applications.
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Excellent teamwork.
