The Centre for Lifelong Learning and Individualised Cognition (CLIC) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer II.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and animate a wide range of game sprites, including characters, environments, and UI elements, adhering to the project's artistic style and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with game designers to understand and implement the visual style of the game.
• Produce high-quality pixel art and animations for game assets.
• Optimize graphics for mobile and desktop platforms while maintaining aesthetic quality.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss art-related issues, provide insights, and find creative solutions to technical challenges.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest graphic design techniques and software.
• Assist in developing visual concepts.
• Provide and receive constructive feedback to refine game visuals to perfection.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or relevant field is preferred but not mandatory based on experience.
• Proven experience as a 2D Graphics Designer or similar role, specifically in game development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse abilities in pixel art, character design, and animation.
• Expertise in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and animation tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Detail-oriented with an artistic eye for color, composition, and pixel precision.
• Time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
