A Research Fellow position is available in the Centre for Urban Solutions at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

The Research Fellow should be familiar with various processes related to solid waste treatment and management, and life-cycle assessment.

You will be expected to work effectively on an ongoing project, "Breaking the ground" in Semakau Landfill: technological solutions for site investigation and material reuse, perform independent and collaborative research to meet the project objectives, to develop new solutions, to seek funding for new research directions, and to publish high-quality journal papers to promote the international reputation of the Centre and the University.

The key objective of this project is to perform life-cycle assessment for the project.

The Centre for Urban Solutions is to provide leadership in developing innovative solutions and sustainable technologies for space creation and urban infrastructure development.

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. It has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students and is rapidly expanding its range of education and research activities.

Job Requirements:

• A Doctoral Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised university
• Able to work independently and collaborate with team members
• Good verbal and written communication in English
• Working or research experience of at least 2-3 years is desirable
