Joining as a Research Engineer, you will have opportunities to participate in research projects working together with other capable and experienced researchers in the centre.

Preparing reports and papers for publication, presentation, periodical reporting/meetings, etc, and liaise with project stakeholders, including funding agencies, industrial partners and academic staff in universities and institutes (locally and internationally).

Job Description:
The key responsibilities would include:
- Conduct research in the field of maritime energy and sustainable development
- Conduct maritime energy-related experiments and trials.
- Carry out fieldwork, which will include ship and port data collection, analysis and modelling.
- Involve in industry development for research collaboration and technology deployment.
You will also need to work on other aspects of research projects, which include:
Preparing reports and papers for publication, presentation, periodical reporting/meetings, etc, and liaise with project stakeholders, including funding agencies, industrial partners and academic staff in universities and institutes (locally and internationally).
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree holder with very good academic results in Marine Engineering/Maritime Studies/ any Engineering course from a reputable university
- Holistic knowledge of a plant environment
- Good knowledge on international shipping/ ports/ marine engineering
- Good skills in data analysis and modelling
- Able to conduct field work
- Highly motivated and research oriented
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Fluent verbal and written communications in English
- Problem solver and multi-tasking
- Self-motivated, mature, independent and resourceful
- An effective team player with good communication & interpersonal skills
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong publication record and experience in industry R&D projects will definitely be an added advantage
