A Senior Research Engineer position is available in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

The Senior Research Engineer (Software Development) will be mainly responsible for developing real-time software stacks for vehicular environments under Connected Smart Mobility (COSMO) program. The job roles include:

• Design and develop Software Stack and Development Kit for in vehicle communication systems based on the IEEE AVB suite of standards
• Maintain and enhance existing Vechicle to Everything communication stacks based on IEEE 1609.3, IEEE 1609.4 and SAE J2735
• Understand embedded programming on Linux or QNX platform
• Help prepare the resources and assisting live demos during open house events and ad hoc events
• Work closely with PI, team members, and collaborators to ensure timely and efficient completion of project milestones.

Job Requirements:

Educational background required:

• Bachelor and above degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience

Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

• Passionate about software development
• Proficient with embedded Linux programming
• Proficient with modern C++ programming language
• Proficient with multi-thread programming
• Experience in working with streaming technologies
• Experience in software configuration management tools, e.g. Git or Subversion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
• Candidate with less experience may also be considered as Research Engineer
