A Research Fellow position is available in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Job Description:

• Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, water reuse, resource recovery, including experimental setup design and construction, experiment design and testing, process modelling, data processing and reporting
• Mentor junior PhD students, master students, undergraduate students for their research projects
• Publish research data, prepare project progress report, paper publication, assist in grant proposal preparation

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, etc
• Excellent journal paper publication record
• Excellent proposal writing and report writing skill
• Oral presentation skill, multitasking skill
• Relevant research experience on membrane technology and separation technologies
• Relevant research experience on membrane module development
• Relevant research experience in electrochemical water technology
• Relevant research experience in renewable energy and energy storage
• Relevant research experience in the fabrication/synthesis of RO/NF/FO/PRO/ion exchange membranes/organic solvent membranes/hydrophobic membranes, and/or organic chemical synthesis, and membrane/separation process development will be preferred
• Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communication and writing in English
• Strong responsibility for research
