The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at NTU provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for staff and students to carry out research in key areas. The research will involve a substantial level of collaboration.

A candidate with a strong expertise in commercialization of materials based manufacturing technologies. The researcher will be involved in bridging the gap to commercialization of a patented magnetocuring technology. He should be familiar with the synthesis, characterization and property evaluation of magnetic materials and polymers. Strong communication skills, an energetic and can-do attitude and ability to effectively interface with vendors and potential customers is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bridging the gap to commercialization of magnetocuring technology
• Scaleup of materials production, stability of material and equipment design and procurement
• Interaction with relevant industry and academic partners to maximize impact of project

Job Requirements:

• B. Eng or B.Sc in Materials Science and Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or allied field.
• Knowledge of synthesis, characterization and property evaluation of high-performance materials
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
• Experience in equipment design and production is desirable
• Strong communication skills, energetic and self-motivated
• Previous commercialization experience is desirable
