The School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) invites applications for the position of Research Engineer II in Cyber Threat Detection to work on a project related to Smart Nation IoT-system Threat Analytics. The role entails the responsibility of analyzing infrastructure and platform security for IoT systems and honeynet, monitoring IoT systems and honeynets for threat activities and incident response, security information and event management, creation of dashboards, and reporting. The job also requires conducting research, preparing reports and publishing papers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and development on IoT threat detection.
  • Research on designing and deploying security defense technologies.
  • Monitoring IoT systems and honeynet for threat activities and incident response.
  • Security information and event management, security analysis, creation of dashboards, and reporting.
  • Conducting research, preparing reports and/or publishing papers.


Job Requirements:
  • A master's degree in one of the following areas: computer science, computer engineering, information or communication science/engineering or any other relevant field.
  • Experience cybersecurity, and security information and event management (SIEM) and familiarity with threat intelligence, security monitoring or network security.
  • Applicants with bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
