EngineeringThe Cloud Application and Platform Group (CAP Group) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is seeking 1 motivated Research Fellow in CFD and energy areas.
The Research Fellow is expected to take the following responsibilities.

The Research Fellow is expected to take the following responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing CFD and energy technical leadership to new research programs;
- Work closely with other team members to develop OpenFOAM methods, processes and workflows;
- Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis carried out within the department are aligned with the capability of the commercial tools;
- Conduct research into and analysis the energy usage of different scenarios;
- Write reports and mapping the total energy usage;
- Thinking of ideas for actionable options;
- Respond to questions from team members.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics from a recognised university;
- Strong project skills;
- Excellent team player and able to work effectively with other groups;
- Practical experience in OpenFOAM development and/or in C++ language development in a CFD environment;
- Good understanding of commercial CFD solvers (Fluent, 6Sigma, STAR-CCM+, etc.)
- Experience with energy modelling or coding platforms including SketchUp, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, TRNSYS, and Python;
- Proven ability to work at a fast pace and to react rapidly to new information;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
