Engineer - Roles & Responsibilities

Position Overview

An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing,testing, and improving systems, products, or processes based on technical andbusiness requirements. Engineers ensure projects are completed efficiently,safely, and within budget while maintaining quality standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Planning & Design

Analyze project requirements and technical specifications

Prepare design drawings, layouts, and technical plans

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments

Select appropriate materials, tools, and technologies

2. Project Execution

Oversee installation, construction, or developmentactivities

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams

Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings andtimelines

Monitor progress and report project status to management

3. Testing & Quality Control

Perform inspections and testing of equipment or systems

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatorystandards

Identify defects and implement corrective actions

Maintain proper documentation of test results and reports

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Diagnose technical problems and provide solutions

Conduct preventive maintenance and performance checks

Improve system efficiency and reduce downtime

Provide technical support to operations team

5. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare technical reports, manuals, and procedures

Maintain records of designs, changes, and approvals

Update drawings and documentation as required

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with company policies and safetyregulations

Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments

Promote a safe working environment

7. Communication & Teamwork

Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders

Participate in meetings and technical discussions

Provide training and guidance to junior staff or technicians

Education Qualification & Experience

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical /Electrical / Electronics / Software or relevant field)

Experience:

Minimum 4-5 years of relevant industry experience

Skills Required:

Knowledge of engineering software and tools
