Requirements:
- Assist in the design and development of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
- Support packaging testing and validation activities (e.g., drop, compression and transit testing).
- Assist in preparing and maintaining packaging specifications, drawings and documentation.
- Participate in packaging trials on manufacturing lines and support issue resolution.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to evaluate materials for performance, cost and sustainability.
- Support new product introductions with packaging-related tasks and timelines.
- Collect and analyze data related to packaging performance and damage trends.
- Communicate with internal teams and external suppliers under guidance.
- Follow established quality, safety and regulatory standards.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Min 1-2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op experience are welcome).
- Basic understanding of packaging materials and formats.
- Familiarity with engineering documentation and specifications.
- Willingness to learn packaging testing methods and industry standards (e.g.,ISTA, ASTM, etc).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to CAD software or packaging design tools.
- Interest in sustainable packaging materials and design.
