Founded in 2018, NuSpace is a rapidly growing spin-off from the National University of Singapore (NUS) that specializes in small satellites and IoT solutions. Trusted by government agencies, companies and enterprises alike, our offerings empower others to achieve critical objectives and make dreams come true. We are at the forefront of the accelerating Singapore space industry, driven by a goal to build a more connected, affordable future for all.

NuSpace has launched multiple IoT satellites for both local and overseas customers, with more in the pipeline leading to our first constellation within the next few years. We are making space data accessible to businesses, communities and changing the way people live around the Asia-Pacific region. We are leading a revolution in how organizations collect and analyze data of any function, enabling insights in remote areas that were previously difficult to obtain.

NuSpace also runs educational programs regularly. We take great pride in guiding the next generation and building a passion for space in them. With a focused guided hands-on approach, our seasoned engineers provide an experience with space unlike anywhere else in Singapore.

Who You Are

You are a Satellite Engineer who will be an essential part of an experienced team working on both operational and new satellites directly. You will conceptualize, design, plan, fabricate, code, validate and deploy new features for both space-based and ground-based projects. The projects you will work on will assist the company in achieving project goals across a wide range of industries, including farming, education, remote sensing, communications, and climate change.

In your day-to-day tasks, you will report to a Senior Engineer directly, who will train and guide you to be comfortable in your role. In this position, you can benefit from the wealth of experience, learn the ins-and-outs of space-based product development and get invaluable hands-on opportunities to further your career.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other engineers to design innovative solutions for future satellites.

• Learn and work on projects across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical and software fields.

• Contribute to continuous iterations of the development cycle and improve project workflow on a regular basis

• Operate and troubleshoot satellites currently in operation or during assembly.

Requirements:

• Good technical grasp of any of the following fields: mechanical, electrical or embedded software.

• Ability to learn rapidly with guidance by mentors

• Willingness, curiosity and passion for new experiences and learning.

• Team player with the knack for good communication and collaboration.

• Fluent in verbal and written communications in English.

Location/Other Information:

• Working location: NUS Singapore Wind Tunnel Facility (SWIFT)
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am to 6pm
• For applicants, the interview will also consist of a simple test prior. Details of the test will be provided one week before the interview date to allow applicants to prepare in advance.

Applicants are not expected to have experience past the stated requirements, though having any will be an edge over the rest.
