Overview

The Service Engineer delivers timely, high-quality support to customers, ensuring a seamless service experience with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The role includes installation, commissioning, user training, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of ZwickRoell products. Working independently, the engineer applies strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills to provide effective solutions, maximize system performance, and build long-term customer trust.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commission, preventive maintenance of ZwickRoell machines.
• Perform onsite verification and calibration services in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
• Diagnose & repair faults in consultation with technical support team and advise customers on corrective actions including necessary spares and consumables for smooth machine operation.
• Submit service reports, calibration protocol and technical checklists immediately following each site visit to ensure a clear audit trail.
• Plan and execute customer visits in consultation with Service Coordinator ensuring timely and prompt onsite service delivery.
• Identify leads for accessory, upgrades and calibration contracts & handover to aftersales.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline of mechanical or electronic engineering.
• 1-3 years of field service experience industrial or laboratory systems
• Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to comprehend technical info and schematics of mechanics and electronics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• 80% onsite activities within Singapore.

  • Background in calibration or laboratory instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of materials testing and physical properties of metals and plastics.
