Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support 12-year cycle (first cycle) maintenance works on Korea Hyosung 400kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) at Singapore PowerGrid substations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspection, testing, and maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable operation of high-voltage switchgear systems.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform 12-year cycle (first cycle) maintenance on 400kV Hyosung GIS
• Conduct detailed inspection and condition assessment of GIS equipment
• Carry out operation tests on motor and hydraulic systems
• Execute Circuit Breaker timing tests and related functional tests
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
• Ensure compliance with Singapore PowerGrid safety rules and procedures
• Prepare maintenance records, test reports, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with site supervisors, clients, and relevant stakeholders

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience working with Hyosung HV GIS
• Proven experience in high-voltage substation maintenance
• Strong understanding of 400kV GIS systems, circuit breakers, motor & hydraulic mechanisms
• Able to work independently at substation sites
• Good spoken and written English communication skills
• Familiarity with Singapore PowerGrid / SP Group environment is an advantage
